Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexibility after training, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $20-25/hour

Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary:

LHH Staffing seeks a tech-savvy Medical Billing Specialist for a 6-8 month contract in Portland, OR, with potential for extension. You'll join a dynamic team handling billing for medical, mental health, and addiction services, focusing on Oregon Medicaid processes. This role requires adaptability, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter and audit charges for medical, mental health, and addiction services.

Follow up on outstanding A/R, review EOBs, and resubmit claims as needed.

Resolve denied claims, verify insurance eligibility, and process secondary billing.

File batches, submit claims to DSHS, and maintain detailed work notes.

Stay updated on new systems and adapt to various tasks within a close-knit team.

Qualifications:

Experience with Oregon Medicaid required.

Tech-savvy and adaptable, with strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Medical billing experience.
