Qualifications:
Master's Degree - Speech and Language PathologyMust meet the requirements as specified in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education Revised R340.1796Certification of Clinical Competence for ASHA or finishing last Clinical Fellowship yearExperience with multiple special education populations (e.g. ASD, LD, EI) preferredKnowledgeable and experienced with speech and language diagnostic proceduresProven employment record illustrating warmth, patience, consistency, tolerance, empathy, trust, reliability, good attendance, sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality.Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluationsParticipate on multi-disciplinary teams, IEP teams, and work collaboratively with teachers, professionals, students and parents/guardiansAbility to plan evidenced based interventions for individual and groupsDemonstrated ability to teach strategies to students and teachers that support student progress in their curriculum and individualized education plansComplete and maintain records, documentation and record keeping in accordance with district policies, procedures and directivesComplete and meet Federal and State mandates for evaluation and delivery of services and programs for Special EducationExperience with Positive Behavior Supports, Assistive Technology, Positive Behavior Supports, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports preferredOther duties as assigned by administrator
Salary:
