Description

We're looking for an energetic and creative Information Technology professional to lead the Firm's strategic and tactical approach to leveraging technology to facilitate internal Firm management and deliver high-quality, efficient legal services to the Firm's clients. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, and in collaboration with the Firm's partners, the Director of Information Technology will be responsible for the evaluation, selection, procurement, installation, and ongoing support of the Firm's hardware, software, audio-visual equipment, cloud computing, and other information technology services across all of the Firm's offices (located in Denver, New York, the District of Columbia, and San Francisco). The Director of Information Technology will also supervise the activities of the Information Technology Specialist.

In this role, you will:

Oversee the implementation and support of the Firm's technology systems.Lead the analysis of technology trends and their impact on the legal industry to develop the Firm's business strategy, direction, and architecture.Manage the Firm's relationships with its technology vendors.Assist the COO in the development of information technology budgets.Meet with decision-makers, stakeholders, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure cybersecurity, maintain business continuity, and comply with applicable laws and standards.Evaluate, monitor, and recommend new technologies and strategies to support the Firm's growth and delivery of high-quality, efficient legal services to its clients.Manage, mentor, and train the IT Specialist.Develop training materials and conduct training on Firm systems and related processes in conjunction with the Firm's IT Specialist.Provide escalated technical support to the Firm's attorneys and staff.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art legal technology practices; and participating in professional societies.Requirements

You will excel in this role by:

Having a BS in a related area, MS or MBA preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive information technology experience.Having experience developing and leading the implementation of a strategic enterprise technology plan, including all areas of the information technology function, systems administration, application support, telecommunications, cloud computing, personal devices, networking, and cybersecurity.Having progressive experience managing and mentoring other IT professionals.Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and effectively communicate complex technical matters.Being a strategic thinker that can articulate strategic vision and value to employees and leadership.You will stand out from other candidates if you demonstrate some or all of the following:

A strong "client-service" philosophy and proactive mindset toward providing information technology services and continuous improvement.An ability to drive change and innovation in a dynamic business environment.Specific experience in a law firm environment, supporting enterprise technology across multiple locations, and supporting remote workers.An ability to take ownership of the development of the Firm's technology roadmap and strategic direction with respect to the planning, development and integration of future technologies to support the Firm's growth and client services.Enthusiasm for how technology may be leveraged to enhance and support the Firm's strong spirit of collaboration in providing legal services.Experience or certifications in the Firm's existing and hosted technology systems, including Citrix Workspace, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office 365, Coyote Analytics, iManage Work, Litera Compare, and Microsoft SharePoint.

Position details:

This is a full-time position located in Denver, CO. Periodic travel to the Firm's other office locations may be required. The salary range is $110,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience. Salary Description
