Oversee monthly closing of development operations, including active construction projects and those projects in pre-developmentWill require close coordination with Purchasing and ConstructionReview monthly job cost reports and provide updates to project budgetProject budget maintenance, including analyzing variances versus budget and seeking ways to reduce costsKey performance indicator monitoringAssist in vendor management and communicate regularly with Accounts Payable of upcoming payments to avoid the need for urgent paymentsAssist in escrow payment processing and reconciliationAssist in project closeout in partnership with Purchasing and ConstructionForecast remaining spend to commitmentsAnalyze retention release and change ordersLead transition from development to operationsContribute to implementation of Procore Analytics and Procore Pay modulesDevelop forecasts and budgets for development projectsAdministration support of Procore pay for compliance and facilitation of paymentsAssist in preparation of monthly and annual financial statement reporting of joint venture development projects and communication of results to ownership, including limited partnersMonitor project liquidity and call for capital contributions as requiredOversee the maintenance of capital accounts statements and assist in reconciliations as requiredWork with Development & Legal departments as new projects are onboarded and then transitioned to actively managed projectsAssist in land closing and partnership formations, including opening of bank accounts, ensuring liquidity to close, working with Treasury analyst to process wires and working with Development Accountant to ensure closing costs are accounted for correctlyWork with Treasury Analyst to closely monitor project liquidity and forecast near-term cash requirementsAssist CFO in evaluation and implementation of new technologies to upgrade payment processing (Timberscan) and implement a new ERPEnsure Bill4Time properly allocates payroll to development projectsReview monthly credit card bills and perform variance analysis, as requiredRequirements:

Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus12-15 years' general finance experience with an emphasis on construction management and development accountingProficiency in Procure is a mustProficiency in Timberscan and Sage preferredExperience working in accounting software ERP packages, if not Sage another ERP, is requiredStrong project management and leadership skillsEffective communication skills across departments and management levelsExperience managing multiple employeesCPA PreferredProficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
