Our client, an ag/heavy equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Plant Logistics Manger to join their team. As a Plant Logistics Manager, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting Engineering and Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in all logistics functions including material handling, manufacturing operational plan, and material buying/planning. This position is a member of the plant senior leadership team and plays a key role in business decisions. The position is direct hire with very competitive salary expectations.
Job Title: Plant Logistics Manager
Location: Fargo, ND
Pay: $60-80/hr plus OT, benefits
Key Responsibilities
Oversees Logistics Departmental functions:
Material Handling - internal movement within plant & 3PL, warehouse functions, cycle count programs, hourly supervision, logistics engineer
Manufacturing operational plan - works with central functions to create overarching plan, drives order to delivery functions
Material Buying/Planning - communication with supply base from order entry to delivery, manages financial inventory levels and premium freight reductions
Drives departmental metrics aligned with Lean Manufacturing activities in the plant; that is then cascaded down to the team
Ensures process structure, roles, and responsibilities of entire team is aligned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment that has embraced Lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.
Minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience focusing on talent development, standardizing, planning, execution, and process improvement
