Key Responsibilities:
Manage carrier portals to access and retrieve statements and invoices.Support the processing of cash applications in the management system for both agency-billed and direct-billed premiums.Handle various payment methods, including wires, checks, and electronic payments.Assist in gathering and managing credit reference data.Reconcile billing discrepancies and make necessary adjustments for both direct and agency billing.Collect overdue commissions on direct billing accounts and manage any related billing corrections.Assist in premium collections for agency billing accounts on a 30/60/90-day cycle.Issue cancellation notices for overdue premiums on agency billing accounts.Retrieve return premiums from carriers and wholesale brokers.Support premium financing processes and assist with the preparation of month-end accounting statements.Manage email correspondence and organize file attachments.Assist in resolving discrepancies with carriers, brokers, and insured clients.Support commission downloads into the management system.Assist in processing carrier statements and handling payables related to agency billing.Help distribute cancellation notices and ensure compliance with service fee agreements.Process and apply cash for life and health insurance accounts.Provide support for accounts payable functions.Work closely with management, demonstrating excellent time management and teamwork skills.Utilize advanced Excel and MS Office skills for efficient task management.The position offers potential for growth and development within the company.Qualifications:
Prior experience working within an insurance agency is required.Familiarity with agency management systems such as TAM or EPIC is essential.Strong accounting and task management skills are necessary for success in this role.Ability to collaborate effectively with the team and management.
Salary Range:
$80k - $100k
