Job Title:Accountant

Pay Details:The annual base salary range for this position in California is $75,000 to $80,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The Accountant is a full-time position located at Arena Corporate Center (ACC) in Anaheim responsible for tracking, auditing and reporting ticket, merchandise, and sponsorship sales for the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club. The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's financial operations. This position will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and prepare settlements and reports for multiple entities (i.e. Ducks, Sponsorship, and Ducks Foundation). This role requires 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance. Experience in working with multiple entities is a must.

Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesPrepare various reports, journal entries, and amortization schedules for monthly closeMaintain ticket reports and records and box office accounting for various entitiesPrepare game day settlements and journal entries for all Ducks gamesPrepare daily merchandise sales and monthly journal entriesReconcile inventory accountManage fixed assets and related journal entriesPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPerform monthly bank statement reconciliations for various entitiesComplete premium, parking, rent, and facility fee settlements with arenaPrepare advertising settlementsAssist with various auditsPrepare monthly financial reporting to executives and business unitsAssist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgetsPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedSpecific Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required5-7 years of experience in Accounting/FinanceSports & Entertainment experience preferredFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O software is preferredAdvanced Archtics/TM Host knowledge preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)High attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time management and organizational skillExcellent communication skills, both written and oralMust be self-motivated, able to learn on own, and work independently towards a deadline
