The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate Bigelow 9 General Medicine, and Bigelow 13 RACUWhy This Role Is Important?The RACU/General Medicine is an eighteen-bed unit crafted for the care of patients requiring focused pulmonary care and the care of patients with general medical diagnoses. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, conscientious patient care environment. PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner. PCAs will float between two units, Bigelow 9 General Medicine, and Bigelow 13 RACU.ScheduleDay (7am-3pm / 7am-7pm), Evening (3pm-11pm), and Night (7pm-7am, 11pm-7a) Rotational holiday and weekend scheduleWhat do we have to offer?Shift differential for evening, nights, and weekends.Full comprehensive benefits packet, inclusive of travel discounts, MBTA subsidy and health savings.Employee Perks, Weekly pay, and retirement package.

- Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR
- Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
