We are seeking a Staff Accountant to provide support to the Director of Finance in the accounting function. This individual will want to make an impact by being solutions-oriented and resourceful. They will continuously learn by being exposed to multiple aspects of the business.
Manage the expense report process for the company, provide guidance and training to the teamSupervise and track gifts, office supplies, and expensesEnsure there is proper review of the accounts and escalate any differences or issues to the Director of FinanceOwn all tasks related to AR (billing, credit, collections, and receipts) and AP (payable entries, schedules, payments)Perform all general ledger transactions and accounts reconciliationAssist with monthly/quarterly/annual closing proceduresProcess payroll and related G/L entriesAssist with benefits administration and human resourcesAssist with preparation of operational reportingHelp with other ad hoc requests as assigned by Director of Finance or CEOManage office vendors as neededSkills & Requirements
Degree in Financial Accounting1 to 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment or public accountingFamiliarity with accounting software systemsStrong skills in Google Suite and ExcelAbility to create and present financial reportingCapable of handling multiple assignments/projects simultaneouslyExperience working with outside vendors/management of external relationshipsProven ability to be solutions-oriented and resourcefulHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to adapt with an ever-changing and growing startQualifications
