OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator I who will operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathesPositions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devicesOperates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic toolsOperates lift equipment as neededUses precision measuring tools as requiredAbility to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if neededAbility to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as requiredVerifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspectionsReports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department LeadMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsCompletes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operationsMechanical aptitude and a strong interest in CNC machiningExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workBasic computer skills for machine operation and data entryStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quicklyEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamAvailability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as requiredCommitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environmentPhysical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

$22 - $28 / hour + 15% Shift Premium
