Teachers actively connect students and families to our comprehensive network of support, to equip them with the resources, connections and education necessary for endless access and opportunity. Under general direction of Senior Manager of Compliance and Accountability, SIMS specialist performs a variety of duties and responsibilities involved in enrolling and withdrawing students; creating and maintaining accurate student records; providing student services and related duties.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Become familiar with the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) Data Standards.Responsible for the integrity of the information that's entered in the student software system.Work cooperatively with other campus personnel to collect and organize required PEIMS data.Attendance reconciliationMaintain accurate and auditable recordsDistribute reports and run queries for appropriate campus staff for analysis, verification, and correction.Provide technical assistance to campus faculty and staff on the use of grade reporting and student attendance software.Maintain student cumulative foldersPerforms other duties as assigned.
