REPORTS TO: Manager - Student Information Systems

POSITION TYPE: 12-month

START DATE: Immediate

COMPENSATION: $24.34 - $28.60/ hour

THE OPPORTUNITY

YES Prep needs a dynamic Student Information Systems Coordinator, with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, the SIS Coordinator will be responsible for providing application technical support and training to SIS end-users. The SIS coordinator will maintain student information system modules and regularly monitor data input to ensure data follows all state and federal requirements.

THE ROLE

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

Providing application technical support and training to Skyward users remotely via Teams or by traveling to campus sites;Updating Skyward training materials for the purpose of instruction and reference;Participating in meetings around student information system capabilities and procedures;Assisting in state and federal compliance and reporting needs of student information system stakeholders;Maintaining SIS security roles and account access levels;Assisting SIS Specialists with validation of data and various reports, dashboards and letter templates using the SIS report writing tool;Maintaining Skyward family access, district and building configuration;Completing and maintaining daily staff, security and students access importsAssisting in ensuring attendance, discipline, grading and master scheduling configurations are up-to-date and aligned with state requirements;Maintaining district registration and withdrawal configurations;Resolving support tickets submitted by SIS end-users to the Student Information System Group in the case management system;Collaborating with SIS team to ensure monthly and end-of-year system maintenance is performed and completed successfully;Learning best practices for providing technical assistance to student information system end-users;Complete daily import validation and data analysis of student and staff accounts in Skyward;Maintaining weekly and monthly checks of data entry validations such as but not limited to: Graduation Requirement Endorsements, Speech Requirements, Peace Office Instruction, CPR Requirements, Pre-K Calendar Codes, State Course Section Codes, Grading configurations, and additional data points as needed;Complete updates to campus course masters and district curriculum courses in the SIS;Attending Region 4 and SIS training to learn how to better support SIS end users;Additional duties as assigned.THE PERSON

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institutionAssociate's Degree and 1-2 years of equivalent experience (in lieu of a bachelor's degree)3 or more years of equivalent experience (in lieu of a bachelor's degree)

Compensation - This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.Health and Supplemental Insurance - A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.Retirement Plans - Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan.Paid Time Off - Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.Paid Leave Programming - In the event you need to be out due to medical needs (including maternity and paternity leave), YES Prep offers paid leave, paid out at 100%, based on eligibility and tenure.Professional Development - YES Prep values longevity and performance over time.
