Overall Scope of Role

The Senior Accountant will support the Pro Sports & Experiences Accounting operations of the company. Duties include assisting with accounts receivables, creating journal entries for recurring transactions, and performing month end account reconciliations in compliance with financial policies and procedures, including relevant internal control documentation/SOX compliance. This position fulfills an integral transactional and reporting function in the Pro Sports & Experience Accounting group. The position reports to the Pro Sports & Experiences Manager, Revenue Operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording varying transaction dataReconcile and prepare daily payment processor transactionsAssist with preparing and posting journal entries related to cash, revenue, COGS, and accounts receivablePerform GL account reconciliationsPerform routine accounting tasks in line with departmental and operational deadlinesAudit all work to ensure accuracyRespond to various ad-hoc requestsMaintain all records and files in an organized mannerOther Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience preferredA foundation in Excel and ability to quickly learn new software.Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve issuesExceptional interpersonal skills - strong planning skills, ability to work as part of a dynamic team and communicate effectivelyAbility to multitask and perform in fast paced environmentExperience with NetSuite is a plusStrong desire to learn and grow in an expanding organizationContinually strive for self-development and discovering better means of accomplishing both personal and professional goalsWill be expected to work periodically on weekends or evenings, as needed.
