Upwards Growth 10% Bonus Excellent Benefits Great Compensation Package Hybrid Work Schedule (3x onsite per week) Job Details The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in performing in-depth financial modeling and able to articulate the results. Assist project teams with financial guidance following GAAP. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Mentor and train other staff members as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field CPA certification preferred. Minimum 3 years' previous experience in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
