Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in reading schematics and determining necessary changes required to draw, form, and progression dies to produce parts within spec.

Duties and Responsibilities:Read and interpret engineering drawings to create and repair precision tools and diesOperate manual and computer-controlled machinery to fabricate parts (i.e. mills, lathes, surface grinders)Maintain and troubleshoot dies for production efficiencyCollaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure tooling meets specificationsConduct quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracyPerform preventive maintenance on tools and diesRequirements

Education and Experience Required:

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institutionMinimum 1 year's manufacturing experience requiredWorking knowledge of basic steel machinability, cutting speeds and finishesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Associate's degree (two-year college or technical school) Field of Study: CNC Programming, Computer-related field, or mechanicalAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills & Mathematical skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailKnowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety RequirementsPhysical Requirements:
