Position Summary:

The Material Handler- Team Lead aids in customer satisfactions by the accurate processing of materials, specific orders, shipping, and inventory counts. Material Handler Leads are responsible for running a shift of employees and overseeing the completion of daily material handling goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:Operate a forklift, two-wheel hand cart, and scales.Retrieve stock to fulfill orders.Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy.Check orders for accuracy.Maintaining an account of the entire inventory in the warehouse.Ensuring the proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of goods and materials.Following all necessary documentation and legal procedures for dispatch and receiving goods.Organizing and developing systematic plans for loading and unloading of supplies.Assigning work and functions to all warehouse workers and staff.Supervising the proper and smooth functioning of all activities.Communicate management updates and changes as appropriate.Assist Supervisors with training and certifying other employees.Perform opening and/or closing utility and machine procedures.Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product is to be sent out.Place compiled/completed orders in appropriate designated areas.Monitor movement and progress of orders to insure timely delivery.Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling product and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to standard operating procedure, making note to follow any special instructions on orders with customer specific requests.Keep work area clean, safe, organized and maintained by following the 6 S's (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).Open bales, crates and other containers.Assist in counting of physical inventory.Wear the proper safety equipment and abide by safety rules at all times.Other duties as assigned by leadershipRequirements

Education and Experience Required:

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institutionMinimum 1 years of material handling experience in distribution or warehousePreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Ability to follow instructions from management.Forklift CertifiedExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Effective written and verbal communication skillsStrong & Mathematical skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailKnowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety RequirementsPhysical Requirements:
