Banner Witcoff's Accounting Department is responsible for managing the daily accounting tasks and billing process for the firm. We are seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to join the firm and become an integral part of our Accounting Department. The Financial Analyst will create and distribute financial reports and analysis to Firm managers and the Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare, review and distribute the firm's monthly financial reporting package. Reporting includes key performance metrics and relevant variance analysis to budget, forecast and prior year activity.Prepare, review and distribute the monthly financial reporting to various managers. Reporting is tailored to the specific focus of the manager.Assist with preparation of year-end reports for bonus consideration.Participate in the continued development of the revenue and profitability databases for reporting purposes and the corresponding attorney dashboards. Develop new reports with the data and train end users. Train attorneys and management on use of the dashboards.Participate in the review of various financial reports, identifying issues where information is inconsistent and troubleshoot for root cause to ensure accuracy of financial information.Prepare ad hoc analyses with recommendations for solutions.Assist with the preparation of the periodic financial presentations.Develop new alerts utilizing Alert Manager software to assist with notification of events.Assist with preparation of various surveys utilized in the legal industry.Participate in system upgrades by testing and verifying financial information.Assist with other administrative tasks and special projects as needed.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and five or more years of related experience working within a law firm is required.Computer proficient with knowledge and understanding of Accounting systems (Aderant or Elite), Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience and understanding of Big Hand/Iridium or other similar reporting software.Ability to identify and analyze complex accounting/financial issues and to recommend and implement solutions. Exhibit initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions.Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate detailed information in report format, written correspondence, e mail, or verbally. Maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of attorneys, clients, staff and outside contacts. Must maintain confidentiality of data.Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 annually. This is an exempt position. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
