As the project unfolds, there will be critical milestone points at which conversion/ migration steps with the database(s), related application screens, reports, etc. will have been performed/delivered. At designated points, one or more levels of testing must be done to validate and report on the success or failure of those actions, and the integrity of the resulting system and its data.The Primary Duties are to identify, design, set up and prepare, execute and report on the appropriate and applicable test results, with guidance. This is to include the selection and use of both manual and automated testing tools, as deemed most advantageous.As suggestions only, testing targets may include:Database structureData transferApplication codeScreen integrityScreen functionalityJobs and reports resultsSystem performanceAuthentication and securityUser acceptance contentSystem regressionOther targets defined within the projectDesign and Establish the quality assurance testing activities:Identify the testing targets for the projectProvide input on the timing and sequencing of testing eventsDesign leadup, collaboration points and the in-out gates for testsDefine the objectives and criteria for each target testDetermine the type of testing approach for each target testDetermine the tool (or tasks) and develop the test proceduresAcquire selected tool(s) and have them installed/configuredDesign templates or forms to be used in testing activitiesDesign and create records to record and report resultsEstablish the test function repositories for test tools and resultsCollaborate with other project participants on all of the aboveInvestigate, recommend and operate automated testing tools:Identify specific target test areas where tools should be usedIdentify specific objective criteria for conducting tools researchConduct/document thorough research on available test productsRun criteria-based comparisons of top ranked discovered productsFormulate concrete recommendations for the acquisition of toolsReceive, install, configure, customize and stand up toolsPrepare/load specific tests and related data cases, when neededRun automated tests of target areas when scheduled in work flowsFormat, present and retain automated test resultsMember of Project Team(s):Participate in planning sessions to coordinate testing requirementsParticipate in other meetings to address and report testing activitiesFollow team Software Development Methodology (SDM) processesUse development tracking software to collaborate/document testingAddress and enforce standards with development teamsFulfill the Internal Testing duties on delivered/assigned productsProvide feedback on common or unique errors found in testingPrioritize assignments and work flow to meet established deadlinesTarget Areas Testing:Follow the team SDM for the target area testing stepsUse the tracking software to document testing activities and resultsUse tracking software to coordinate and assign issues with othersTest delivered targets to ensure all requirements have been metTest delivered products to ensure they meet standardsTest delivered products to ensure the correct data is returnedTest delivered products to ensure security requirements are metTest delivered products to ensure related screens function correctlyDocument testing activities that are complete and accuratePrepare test scenarios and data to guide testing activitiesLoad testing scenarios into automated test toolsReport and return failed products for reworkProvide detailed information on failed productsForward-assign passed products on to the next project phase**Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.****Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a clients business needs and requirements.**Benefits:For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
