Overview : Gallagher Re is one of the worlds leading reinsurance advisory and broking firms. We bring together sophisticated analytics capabilities, risk transfer and transactional expertise to provide advice and counsel to our clients. We help our clients interpret the data to guide their decisions surrounding the management of their risk portfolio. How you'll make an impact : We are seeking an industrious and analytical Marine Reiunsurance Broker with a successful background in reinsurance and specialty brokerage or underwriting background in New York. This is a client-facing role in a setting that involves multi-stakeholder collaboration to drive value to the retention of existing accounts, as well as contribute to new business production and product development. In this role you will: Collaborate in a multi-stakeholder matrix, controlling or influencing production resources as required and providing support to operations and analytics teams to deliver best in class client service. Identify client needs and present opportunities successfully to customers. Counsel clients on insurance structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency. Develop and enhance relationships with senior executives of client companies. Ensure adequate planning and resourcing of the production function, making efficient use of all available resources. Accountable for long-term sales plans, annual production targets, and business planning for the Marine practice in North America Design, implement, and embed relevant governance and control actions for production and placement, ensuring compliance with policies. Seek customer feedback in an effort to refine the function and its activities. Prepare and present executive reports as required. Drive and deliver achievement against the P&L. Foster an inclusive, engaged, and motivated team culture to achieve optimum performance. About you :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of progressive insurance, MGA, underwriting and/or reinsurance experience. Strong operational knowledge of re/insurance related business in the Marine specialty. Knowledge of general re/insurance products, services, and classes of re/insurance. Good analytical and numerate skills. Significant people development and management or influencing experience. Ability to build rapport, establish credibility, and engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working in a global, matrix-managed organization with integrity and confidentiality.
