Job Description
Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a per diem Sec/Tech for the Palliative Care/In Patient Hospice Unit to work various, 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient careAssisting patients with daily activities such as changing and bathingMeasuring and recording vital signsAdministering basic treatmentsHelping to ensure a safe care environmentContinuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are metAssist the team with answering, patient call bellsAssist visitors and patient's needs.Manage EPICAssist with rounds for patient experienceEnsuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitudeQualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum Experience:
Acute Care Experience preferredAssist with ADLEpic Experience preferredMedical terminology preferredBasic computer skills preferredQualifications:
Good communication skillsMust be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
