ExemptPosition Summary:
The primary focus of this role will be to support the SOX Manager and Executive Director of Finance to provide consultative and oversight services to management on the Company’s SOX 404 program. This position will work closely with process and control owners across the company to assess end-to-end processes and controls and ensure SOX compliance.Responsibilities:• Assist in the project management and execution of SOX 404-related aspects, including process documentation, control documentation and administering document requests.• Complete testing over controls to ensure adequate design and identification of key and non-key controls for critical processes/accounts as well as key report and spreadsheet validation.• Help define and coordinate remediation plans and timelines for issues identified.• Assist in the liaison with external auditors to coordinate control walkthroughs, and control testing.• Develop status reports to be presented to the SOX Manager on the SOX control program, including the addition, removal, retirement of controls, and deficiency reporting.• Build and develop cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of management.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related program• 2+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting (at least 2 years, Big 8 preferred).• Hold an active CIA, CISA, or CPA designation or actively working to attain licensure.• Strong understanding of internal controls, and the COSO framework, with extensive knowledge and understanding of SOX requirements.• Knowledge of SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP, and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and the reporting and compliance issues of a public company.• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts.• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other tools to analyze issues and trends.• Thorough knowledge and understanding in areas of accounting (e.g., GAAP).• Experience with AuditBoard or other audit engagement support tools preferred but not required.Featured benefits:• Medical Insurance• Vision Insurance• Dental Insurance• 401kSalary will be commensurate with experience.
