Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Behavioral Health Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred License: RN license (Tennessee or compact) Certifications: BLS, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Foley Catheter Care- Central line care experience- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills- Friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn- High energy and positive approach to care- Advanced skills in IV therapy initiation Job Description: - Work in a Memory Care Program providing care to dementia patients- Enjoy the support of a multidisciplinary team including directors, managers, clinical leaders, counselors, and technicians- Utilize equipment such as Alaris pumps, feeding pumps, lift equipment, wheelchair scales, and chair alarms- Document care using the MediTech system- Partake in rotational floating within the pavilion- Participate in patient rounding with a medical team and psychiatry residents- Ensure patient safety and comfort using the GEMS Model for dementia care- Deliver recovery plans, intake/output monitoring, and medication reconciliation- Engage in professional and personable interactions with patients- Wear required black nursing scrubsThis role offers the opportunity to develop meaningful connections with patients living with dementia and to work in a certified, compassionate care environment.
