Job Description
Summary
The Financial Analyst III conducts quantitative analysis of information affecting budgets, expenses and other financial projects. The Financial Analyst III will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements.Developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiativesPerforming monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position and budget analysisAnalyzing financial data and extracting relevant information as it relates to assigned business units, including but not limited to actual operating cost and inventoryProviding timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of plant results against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision making toward the achievement of the operating plan and strategic planProviding suggestions to management for special projects to improve process efficiency and performance while reducing costs.Providing financial and analytical support for plant incentive compensation.Supporting the HarbisonWalker Business System (HBS) including 5S by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrantQualifications
B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldRequires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced excel expertiseThe Financial Analyst III requires four (4) - six (6) years of manufacturing financial analysis experience.Requires strong strategic thinking and business problem solving skillsRequires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentRequires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze dataRequires previous experience in leading and managing financial analysis projectRequires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detailRequires self- motivation with the ability to adapt quickly
