Job Description
We are looking for a candidate to fill an Analyst / Associate position in our Latin America Group. The position will serve as a critical member of the team, working directly with Head of Latin America, as well as cross-functional Managing Directors, Executive Directors, and Junior Bankers of all levels on pitches and engagements. The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility in transaction execution.
ResponsibilitiesResearching industry sector and capital markets insightsAssessing comparable companies, precedent transactions and potential investors/buyersPreparing and reviewing complex financial analyses and modelsCrafting detailed memos, presentations and pitchesConducting due diligence investigationsCoordinating group efforts for pitch and transaction related activityPresenting materials internally to senior bankers and externally to clients of the firmQualifications
Minimum of two years of investment banking experience requiredFull professional proficiency in Spanish requiredKnowledge of Latin American region preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills essentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsElevated attention to detail and consistency in work productAbility to work independently as well as within a teamOrganized and proactiveSeries 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter
Compensation:
For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000.00 - $170,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
