The Town of Marana is seeking an

Administrative Assistant

to work in the

Public Works Department.

This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same.

Expected Hiring Range: $16.70/hr - $20.46/hrSalary Range: $16.70/hr - $24.22/hr

This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills along with the ability to interact professionally with the public:

Performs general clerical duties; sorts and distributes correspondence, answers phones, and takes messagesInputs timesheet data; establishes purchase orders and facilitates purchasesMaintains electronic and hard copy filing systemsCoordinates the Adopt-a-Road ProgramResponds to street maintenance citizens' requests or complaints; routes citizens' request or complaints to the appropriate division and follows up on progressProvides organizational support by managing the calendar: maintaining files; keeping office areas organizedMaintains office equipment and office suppliesCreates and manages data using Microsoft ExcelManages travel and training for the Street Maintenance DivisionParticipates on several committees as department liaison or representativeMinimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalency, plus six months of training/education past the high school equivalent.At least one-year performing clerical duties within an office environment.Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background checkAn equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProficient using Microsoft Office Excel
