Duties:

The following duties are typical for this position. Employees may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

MAIN OBJECTIVES :Safety, integrity and efficiency in all cellar operations.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :

Full Training provided as part of the employmentAssist Cellar Supervisor and Winemakers with all duties related to productionAssist in operation and maintenance of bottling lineAssist in any and all areas of production during harvestShift work when requiredAssist maintenance with repairs of cellar and equipmentInform supervisor when equipment requires maintenance and perform LOTOOperates pumps, perform Pump-overs and racking's, and blend final productsPrepares additions for fining, filtering and finishing products or juice and winesOperates filters, centrifuge and processing equipment, including CIP protocolsMaking chemical additions to juice and wineMoving hoses and equipmentSafe operation of a forklift - Training is providedCollect wine/juice samples and general support of the laboratoryAdheres to and advances good safety practicesMaintain and confirm a sanitary and micro-biologically stable work environment, including Tank/Hose CIPEnsures s sanitation of all areas of Cellar operationCleaning, sanitizing and sterilizing all winery equipment and facilitiesPerform all cellar operations the confines of SOP parametersPrioritize the safety of yourself and of those around you during all operationsRespect for other staff and customersMentoring and training of new cellar employees as requiredHelping in the vineyard as requiredAdvancement to Cellar Technician Level Five with training and timeQualifications

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent21 years of age or olderTeam leadership skills preferred, including communication, motivation and giving and receiving constructive feedbackAbility to communicate in English in both written and verbal formsAbility to follow written instructions and perform to SOP'sAbility to perform basic math - addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionAbility to read a tape measureMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have proof of current insuranceAbility to multi-taskMust be able to read and understand measurements for tank gaugingWork four 10 hours shifts during the off season and do Shift work during harvest/Crush seasonWork flexible schedules to include evenings or nights, weekends and holidays during Harvest seasonPhysical Demands and Working Environment:
