Who You Are:To propel our next wave of growth, Clearwave is looking for an Associate Accountant who will be responsible for all accounting operations within the company, including verifying financial records and transactions, and collaborating with the team members. You must have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and other reports.
What You'll Do:General AccountingComply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statementsDevelop procedures to improve efficiencyAssist with audits and taxesEnsure compliance with all internal processesAccounts Receivable
Responsible for Customer invoicing with ensuring proper sales tax complianceProcess new customer setupHelp maintain customer account information on file (Contact detail, Communication receipt preference, Tax Exempt/Non-Exempt status and forms)Generate and send account statements to customersAnswer customer questions related to invoicing and contract payment termsAssist with Accounts Receivable collections with oversight of the Accounting ManagerAssist Accountant I with weekly A/R aging reportAssist Accountant I with Deferred Revenue Reconciliation and proper revenue recognition according to GAAPAssist Accountant I with sales tax reportingResponsible for replying to internal and external emails within a 24hr periodSupport in AdHoc ProjectsWhat You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 2 years' experience.Proficiency in Excel.Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, collaborative, willing to learn new skills, have a positive attitude, and be of the utmost integrity.Excel at multi-tasking, solving problems and adapting to changing situations.Possess excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written, and time management skills.Possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.Willingness to learn and to grow with the company.Eager to learn and assist all team members when needed.Experience using QuickBooks and Salesforce is a plus.
