Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for finance and a knack for problem-solving? We are looking for a Consulting Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial principles and a background in the non-profit sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level financial support, offering strategic analysis, and creating detailed financial reports. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level financial support to team members and clients, including the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial consulting services to clients, offering strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial trends, regulations, and best practices in the non-profit sector.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role. Experience in the non-profit sector is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
