Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full cycle, high volume (2000+ employees), multistate payroll and must have Deltek either Costpoint or Viewpoint (Costpoint preferred), along with ADP Workforce Now. You should have strong analytical skills to review through ADP for accuracy and know multi-state payroll laws well.

This is a hybrid position and the company is open to either contract to hire or direct hire. If you go contract to hire, you'll have top tier benefits while on contract.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in high volume, multi-state payroll processing, particularly with Deltek Costpoint and ADP Workforce Now. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting on a team with all aspects of payroll processing for our multi-state organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional to showcase their skills and make a significant impact within our company.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  1. Processing the full-cycle payroll process for our multi-state organization using Deltek and ADP.
  2. Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including review and verification of time sheets, wage computation, and other information.
  3. Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  4. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  5. Coordinating with HR and Accounting departments to ensure correct employee data.
  6. Assisting in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies.
  7. Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
  8. Participating in payroll system upgrades and testing.
  9. Providing training to other staff members on the use of payroll-related systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Payroll Specialist position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree not required but a plus.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of full cycle, multi-state experience in payroll processing, with a focus on Deltek and ADP systems.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of multi-state payroll and tax laws.
  4. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
