Manager, Strategic Finance/FP&AOur client, a thriving AI/robotics company in the tech sector, is growing their Finance function and is looking to recruit a skilled and savvy finance professional to work with the VP, Finance and C-Suite to create a best-in-class finance function. This individual will drive the Company's modeling, rolling forecast, Board materials/messaging, 3-year plan, cash flow forecasting, budgeting and management reporting functions. The role will require business partnership throughout the company (C-Suite to regional managers) so it will have exceptional visibility.Position SummaryThe individual in this role will be responsible for analyzing, explaining, modeling and reporting. The function will play an immediate and instrumental role in supporting the Company's growth through providing business insights and be a key business partner to Company leadership. The individual will drive company-wide financial performance initiatives and will be responsible for enabling informed decisions and effectively communicating key financial information.The Manager must have a strong understanding of financial concepts, three statement modeling, competitive analysis, and be intellectually curious and rigorous. They will bring insightful, strategic thinking to the table and act as a thought partner to the VP, Finance, as well as functions such as Supply Chain, Delivery/Production and Accounting.Experience in the technology manufacturing industry (such as robotics, semiconductors or hardware manufacturing) is a requirement. The successful candidate must be able to build exceptionally strong relationships with members of the executive management team and key leadership throughout the Company.This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, motivated and organized team player to drive value at a growing, pre-IPO robotics technology company.Update and run a three-statement operating model that management can rely onParticipate in financial planning and run operations on a monthly and quarterly cadenceEnsure the validity of budgets and forecasts through thoughtful oversight of internal and external financial forecasts, budgets, etcOwn P&Ls, classifications and attributions so that management reporting is accurateServe as key business partner and contributor to the development and analysis of growth strategiesPartnering with key stakeholders to develop, measure and monitor our key business metrics and connecting those metrics to our financial management processesProviding critical input to the VP, Finance and other members of senior management regarding the financial performance of the Company, including recommendations for action and collaboratively developing operating policies and procedures to enable the attainment of corporate and business objectivesOversight of financial planning tools and technology, including driving the implementation and enhancement of such tools and technology in partnership with our systems team and other members of the finance and accounting teamsPreparing executive presentations, including financial results and comprehensive business analyses and recommendations for senior managementCandidate RequirementsA Business-oriented undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics or AccountingAn MBA and/or CFA is a nice-to-have5+ years of progressive growth in financial management roles in high growth companies or with a foundational firm like investment banking, transaction services, private equity, equity research or consultingHigh-tech manufacturing industry experience is much preferredCore competencies in financial planning, financial & economic modeling and analysis, and capital planning (or a strong understanding of these concepts, if coming out of a foundational experience)Experience using an enterprise-wide accounting (NetSuite) and planning tool is a plusStrong communication skills, both presentational and informalWell-rounded leadership and management background, including extensive financial planning experience as well as solid track record in related areas such as financial reporting, financial analysis and strategic planning - if not coming directly out of a foundational experience
