Nature of work : Under the direction of a Manager or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs. Business and Financial Operations Occupations Typical Responsibilities:

Coordinate the implementation and administration of departmental processes and/or programs.Ensure that university records are kept in accordance with federal, state and other governing regulations.Monitor, maintain, and provide ongoing analysis of finance or business operations.May act as principal financial or operational coordinator to the department. Reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.Work collaboratively with university staff to ensure success of assigned area.May assist in the preparation and delivery of workshops and training programs.Interpret departmental policies for area of responsibility.During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Required Qualifications: This position requires either (a) Master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization ; (b) Bachelor;s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.

General Description / Primary Purpose

The Coordinator of Alumni Engagement will support the planning, organizing, and execution of alumni engagement events, while fostering relationships with UNF alumni, community partners, and members of the Jacksonville community.

Job Function

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Support planning, organization, and execution of alumni engagement events.

-Assist in maintaining the Master Events Calendar, coordinating event schedules, managing facility resources to ensure venue availability and alignment with event needs.

-Coordinate with vendors and assist in managing logistics during events to ensure smooth execution.

-Establish and maintain positive relationships with UNF alumni, community partners, and members of the Jacksonville community.

-Assist in developing event plans, including concepts, themes, and specific elements tailored to UNF needs.

-Assist in creation and implementation of event timelines, layouts, and script rundowns to support event execution.

-Prepare equipment lists, diagrams, layouts, timelines, and staffing plans for each event, ensuring efficient use of resources.

-Collaborate with other departments to support the development and refinement of event concepts and plans.

-Coordinate volunteer teams for events, providing direction and support as needed.

-Assist in event communication efforts, including marketing, outreach, and on-site announcements, to promote engagement.

-Oversee the setup and breakdown of all events, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to plan.

-Manage the inventory of event supplies and equipment, both owned and rented, to minimize loss and damage.

-Support overall event execution, including monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial alignment.

-Perform other duties as assigned to support the UNF Alumni Association's mission and objectives.
