Summary:
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs.
Major Position Responsibilities
Manages inspections of raw materials, equipment, processes and finished products.
Implements quality standards and ensures protocols are followed for quality assurance testing models.
Assists in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment.
Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
Basic QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
OR equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience
7-8 years experience in a relevant function
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Engineering Degree Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to work as part of a team
Management skills
Problem/situation analysis
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships
Analytical thinking skills. Judgement
Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
May need to stand for long periods of time
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
Travel Requirements:
Less than 25% travel likely

Pay Range (USD)
91,000.00 - 169,000.00Benefits
Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
