Duties involve stocking, cutting, shipping and/or moving finish goods and materials/supplies. Operates material handling and warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.This is a dayshift position, working Monday- Friday.Responsibilities:Assist with unloading and loading incoming and outgoing freightObtains and moves finished goods and materials with the use of a RF scannerIdentify and packages finished goods in the appropriate mannerUse warehouse packaging equipment as neededPreforms cycle counts of warehoused inventoryAbility to utilize cutting linesMaintain 5S standardsQualifications/Skills:
Understanding of basic math skills adding, subtracting and measuringBasic computer skillsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formatAbility to multi-taskAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazardsPhysical DemandsThis position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, warehouse equipment operations, and/or walking and assisting warehouse employeesWork is primarily performed on the warehouse floorEye and foot protection must be wornLifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 80 pounds on an occasional basisThe physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordinationMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.Education & Experience:
High School education or GED preferred.Minimum three (3) months material handling experienceProficient in 1 warehouse function (cutting, shipping, material handling, shipping clerk)
