A healthcare facility in New Jersey is actively seeking a patient-oriented and dedicated Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing staff. In this role, the Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentation; including history and physical for complex hematology / oncology adult patients in the outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP):Provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentationPerforms inpatient hospital rounding as per provided schedulePrescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatments and non-pharmacologic modalitiesOrders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients disease-specific needsMonitors the effectiveness of interventions prescribedFacilitates the patients transition within and between healthcare settingsProvides education to patients, families, and significant othersActs as an information resource to students, healthcare professionals, patients, and the publicCollaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals*****Current New Jersey NP licensureCertification in OncologyCurrent BLS/ACLSYour privacy is important to us.
