A healthcare facility in Brooklun is actively seeking a patient-oriented and dedicated Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing staff. In this role, the Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentation; including history and physical for complex hematology / oncology adult patients in the inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP):Provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentationPrescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatments and non-pharmacologic modalitiesOrders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients disease-specific needsMonitors the effectiveness of interventions prescribedProvides education to patients, families, and significant othersActs as an information resource to students, healthcare professionals, patients, and the publicCollaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals*****Current New York NP licensureCertification in OncologyCurrent BLS/ACLSYour privacy is important to us.
