Job Title: Registered Nurse - Ortho Job Specialty: Ortho RN Job Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension) Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Job Description: - Work in an Observation Unit with a capacity of 36 beds. - Provide care to a population including cardiac and neuro stepdown patients. - Handle cardiac bedside monitoring, cardiac drips, TR bands, and post-heart catheterization care. - Manage stroke and neuro patients, including BIPAP overflows. - Serve patients ranging from young adults to late adults (ages 18-60). - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. - Participate in a variable staffing grid that includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns. - Assume full responsibility for patient care within assigned teams.
