ID: 50987604 Shift: 12H Nights 6P-6:30A Description: Unit DATE: 9/30Department: ER | RN- Trauma Level: District Hospital- of Beds: 12- Do you have a Fast Track: Yes- Do you have a separate Triage area: Yes- travelers will not work triage.- Do you have a separate holding area in the ER: No, patients are typically only held for 2 hours maximum.- Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms: Have 2 rooms (included in the 12 rooms) that can be used as a safe rooms.- Is Security in-house 24/7: Security in house 24/7, round through the ER.- On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day: On average between 50-60/day sometimes less during the winter can average 90-100/day.- Ratios: 1:4 unless acuity change then ratio will change. Generally staff 4 RNs plus a charge.- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS- Common diagnoses: Everything from heart attacks, strokes, pregnancy-imminent delivery, clinic type patients, farming accidents. Will see level 4 & 5 pts to critically ill-will stabilize and ship. Large population of pediatrics- will see anything from minor respiratory issues to trauma- will stabilize and ship traumas.- Experience: Prefer at least 2 years. Must have peds experience.- Common drips: Antibiotics for sepsis, fluids, levo, propofol, conscious sedation.- ED Physician: 1 attending from 9-9 AM/PM and midlevel-NP or PA from 11-11 to run fast track.- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge will take an assignment if needed.- Are there nurse aids/EMT on each shift: No aides- They have LVNs. LVNs work with the NP and PA to run fast track to free up RN to deal with critical patients. If minimal or no fast track patients LVN will resource with RN.- Is RT in the ER 24/7: 1 RT in house per shift- RNs will do EKGs.- RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vents. RT will manage.- Do you have Tele/Monitor Techs in the ER: RNs will read and interpret.- X-Ray or CT in the ER: Xray and CT are in house 24/7, will help transport.- Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RNs draw: Phleb will draw labs for sepsis and stroke RNs draw rest.- Shifts & Scheduling: 6:00-6:30. Self scheduling- can put what their ideal schedule is but schedule will not be finalized until manager balances.- Weekend Requirements: Every other.- Holiday Requirements: 2 major holidays per year.- Floating like them to float to ICU if they have the experience.- Scrub Color: No specific color as long as neat and professional.- How many shifts of unit specific orientation: 1-2 days of orientation in the ER.Radius Rule: 50 milesDate Entered: 11/21/2023 Cancellation Charting BSN Required:No License to Trauma Care Shift Required , BLS, PALS Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
