Our client is a prestigious and highly acclaimed Real Estate legal firm. We seek a qualified Litigation Paralegal with a background in California Real Estate Law with exposure in land use and public agency.The ideal candidate is experienced in Real Estate proceedings with proficiency in subpoena, case management, document tracking, can work independently and within a team environment, with excellent business acumen—verbal and written.This 100% Remote 6 month Litigation Paralegal Project reports to the Managing Partner and offers excellent team collaboration.RESPONSIBILITIES:Support Litigation team in real estate due diligence, including title, title objection letters, lease reviews, municipal lien searches, litigation and lien searches.Assist in all aspects of Real Estate transactions from contracts and loan commitments through closing and post-closing.Work with Legal team in subpoena preparation and follow-up, with ability to draft basic pleadings including motions to compel, mediation summaries, initial pleadings, and organize litigation case files.Exposure in review of property acquisitions and dispositions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and supporting legal team in mitigating potential risks.Exposure to leasing matters, including lease negotiations, drafting lease agreements, and addressing lease disputes.Understand Court Electronic Filing, download, rename, and combine court documents.Prepare closing checklists, critical dates timelines, title commitments, title policies, closing statements, title and other affidavits, entity authorizations, customary closing documentation, etc.Review and edit legal documents, with meticulous accuracy in spelling and grammar checks, fact checking, reviewing privilege logs and document formatting.Conduct research projects, including public records and publicly available websites for information on individuals and entities.Track, provide updates, and complete projects within given deadlines.Support Legal leadership with document drafting, report maintenance, send documents and correspondence.Respond to and review discovery requests and discovery responses, handling common file conversions.Attend meetings with external & internal stakeholders including clients.Assist in trial preparation (organizing exhibits, witness lists).Data entry in legal case management system software, including updating and maintaining case status chart and maintaining subpoena chart.Prepare templates, create case caption and proof of service templates in Microsoft Word.Support Legal Leadership with calendaring, client meeting scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed.Work with attorneys on Adhoc projects as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 7 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree, Masters (preferred) and Paralegal Certificate.Proven experience as Litigation Paralegal supporting Real Estate cases in the United States (California).Knowledge in California state and federal procedural rules, filing court documents.Proficiency in Excel, Word, including document management tools.Exceptional writing and organizational skills.Results driven, capable of multi-tasking & prioritization, with meticulous detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently & within teams, highly collaborative, capable of meeting deadlines.Excellent business acumen- verbal & written communication skills.
