Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer and is a key member of the Executive Leadership team and responsible ensuring the organization’s fiscal health, profitability, and growth in alignment with its mission. The CFO will oversee all financial activities, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting and other departments depending on business needs. This role is critical in guiding the organization through organic and inorganic growth initiatives, and optimizing financial performance in a dynamic healthcare environment. The CFO will collaborate with senior leaders to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This role will lead a team of is instrumental in positioning the company for sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Growth Leadership:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company growth goals, including organic expansion and M&A.

Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support multi-state scaling.

Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO, Board, and investor stakeholders for informed decision-making

Operational & Multi-State Financial Management:

Oversee financial operations for healthcare sites in multiple states, ensuring consistent financial processes and reporting.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and GAAP standards across various jurisdictions.

Optimize revenue cycle management, enhancing cash flow and profitability.

Lead and drive financial strategy and goals across the organization with senior leaders and key stake-holders.

Financial Leadership & Risk Management:

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to support the company’s scaling efforts.

Implement robust internal controls and financial reporting systems to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

Continuously evaluate financial risks, implementing controls to safeguard assets, manage and drive insurance programs.

Scaling & Performance Optimization:

Identify and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Partner with clinical and operational teams to optimize location-level financial performance.

Leverage data and analytics to enhance overall financial decision-making.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:

Work closely with the executive team across Operations, Legal, HR, and Clinical departments to align financial strategy with organizational goals.

Foster a culture of financial accountability, equipping site leaders with insights to drive performance.

Private Equity & Investor Relations:

Act as the primary financial liaison with PE partners, communicating performance metrics and strategic initiatives.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for investors, highlighting growth opportunities and key metrics.

Ensure the company’s capital structure supports its growth strategy, identifying opportunities for refinancing or new capital.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):

Oversee all financial aspects of M&A, from due diligence and valuation to integration and performance tracking.

Build financial models to assess the impact of acquisitions and divestitures on company strategy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions post-transaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.

15-20+ years of financial leadership, ideally in healthcare or service industry with multi-site/multi-state operations experience.

Extensive experience in Private Equity-backed companies, cash management, and capital management.

Proven success in M&A, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

Expertise in managing a mid-cap organization with $200M-$500M in revenue.

Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models (Medicare, Medicaid, capitated models, and private insurance).

Demonstrated ability to scale financial operations in high-growth environments.

Proven track record in strategic financial management in a multi-location or multisite healthcare organization.

Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Supply Chain experience a plus.
