Description

We seek a highly organized, skilled, and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Secretary to join our real estate law firm and support our litigation team. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced law firm, supporting civil and commercial litigation attorneys. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of legal processes related to litigation.Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

File and organize legal documents, maintaining both physical and electronic filing systems.Assist attorneys with preparing, revising, and finalizing legal documents such as pleadings, unlawful detainers, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.File court documents electronically using federal and state e-filing systems, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and timely.Manage attorney calendars, scheduling depositions, court hearings, trials, meetings, and client conferences.Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other litigation materials as required.Communicate with court personnel, opposing counsel, process servers, and clients.Track litigation deadlines and ensure attorneys are prepared for hearings, motions, and trials.Handle administrative duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, and managing attorney correspondence.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including court filings, e-filing systems, discovery processes, and trial preparation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, Litera, Worldox, and ProLaw.Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work well under pressure and independently in a fast-paced legal environment.Familiarity with both state and federal court systems, as well as local rules and procedures.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic work environment.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, vision, life, accident, and critical injury insuranceRemote work schedule (Tues-Thurs in office)Paid time off (PTO) and holidaysCatered lunch every WednesdayEmployee Assistance Program401(k) planProfit SharingOpportunities for professional development and career advancementSalary Description
