Are you a detail-oriented Senior Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity with a top-tier Commercial General Contractor in Austin? They specialize in a wide range of projects, including Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Religious, Education, and Municipal sectors, with a mix of ground-up construction and renovation work. We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join the team and contribute to the success of high-profile projects by delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including both ground-up and renovation projectsAnalyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand scope and requirementsLead and coordinate the bid process, working with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricingCollaborate with the project management team to develop value engineering options and cost-saving strategiesEvaluate risks and develop contingency plans to ensure project budgets are maintainedMaintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractorsStay up to date with industry trends, construction costs, and market conditions
Requirements:Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating commercial construction projects, including ground-up and renovationsStrong understanding of construction materials, methods, and processesProficiency in estimating software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and negotiation skillsBachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred
