Job Summary:
Tasting Room Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations which include tastings and tours, visitor relations, and staff performance. This includes building brand awareness and exceeding guest expectations by working with and through the staff and other departments to enhance sales, best practices, and best in class hospitality. The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for achieving key business goals: wine sales, new customer acquisition, and membership conversion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent hospitality and managerial skills, attention to detail, and a passion for attracting new customers and creating relationships with existing customers to drive sales.
Essential Functions:

Management/Leadership:Manage TFE Tasting Room staff (and temporary personnel) including coaching, training, managing accountability, continued education, and problem solving.Responsible for oversight and final approval of Assistant Manager for all the Tasting Room staff scheduling, regular TFE and temporary personnel.Responsible for hiring, training, and ensuring adherence to professional standards and company policies, including career planning and professional development of staff.Establish the tone of leadership and empowerment of the staff by creating a positive and respectful work environment, by leading through example, consistent with the Trinchero Family Estates' company values.Responsible for completion of annual performance reviews ensuring they are effective and completed on time. Provide immediate, respectful, and constructive feedback on positive and opportunity areas of employee performance. Responsible for disciplinary actions within the TFE guidelines.Responsible for cross-functional collaboration and engagement on shared projects with Wine Club, Brand Marketing, Digital, PR, Winemaking and Hospitality teams.Demonstrate creative thinking and initiative in development of programs and offerings that build brand awareness, quality perception and drive sales.Manage the tasting experiences, tasting menus and pricing to ensure creativity and innovation.Work with Senior Director, Visitor Operations to create and manage annual revenue and expense budgets for the Tasting Room.Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be comfortable presenting to groups as well as navigating customer service situations.Manage special assignments and projects as required by the Senior Director, Visitor Operations.Training:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for POS system, Commerce 7, Tock reservations, and Office application and is responsible for training staff on all the systems.Support and provide guidance for required training of team and ensures adherence to all policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.Understand and teach the Sales processes (customer service skills) to drive club memberships and increased sales.Educate team to promote the Club Membership program to increase sales.Ensure all staff members are educated and proficient (including temporary support) on all the TFE brands and company history.Financial Planning:
Establish and maintain financial goals for the Tasting Room areas that will achieve yearly budget projections. Monitor sales and make recommendations for improvements to increasing sales.Manage the P&L and assist the Senior Director with the annual budgetManage and track the KPI's monthly and report and adjust to planManage the merchandising strategy and planningDirect and manage the monthly and annual inventory requirements (wine and non-wine items)Complete all end of day and end of month reports for Finance. Conduct weekly cycle-counts and bi-annual inventory counts for Wine-onsite, merchandise, and non-merchandise items.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent supervisory experience.Years of Experience: Three or more years of winery hospitality or retail management experience. Supervisory experience required.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBilingual Skills preferredStrong analytical, math skills and computer skillsEffective sales management skills with a proven track record and innovative techniques for increasing revenueEffective problem-solving skillsStrong professional customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervisionWorking Conditions:

Salary Range:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location. We also provide a 401(k) plan where TFE may make a discretionary profit-sharing contribution.
