Are you an accounting professional with a knack for leading and improving financial processes? We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the aerospace manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to take a leading role in managing our financial operations and providing strategic insights. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, maintaining compliance, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

As the Accounting Manager, you will:

  1. Lead the implementation and management of accounting systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with current accounting principles and company policies.
  2. Be a subject matter expert on financial transactions in the new ERP system (Oracle Fusion)
  3. Manage and oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards.
  4. Handle the percentage of completion accounting for long-term contracts and projects.
  5. Assist in the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks including month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  6. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and performance metrics.
  7. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring all requested information is provided in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements and ensure the company's financial practices are in compliance.
  9. Drive process improvements and initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. CPA certification and a Public Accounting foundation is strongly preferred.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  4. Proven experience with system implementation, project accounting, revenue recognition, percentage of completion, financial close, month-end processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  5. Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP software.
  6. Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience in audit coordination.
  7. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to deliver insightful financial reports.
  8. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop a team.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  10. Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
