Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Consulting Contracts Specialist, you will have a wide range of responsibilities. These include:
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including federal and state contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Providing expert advice on contractual matters to the project team, highlighting any potential risks or issues.
- Managing contract execution processes and ensuring all contracts are correctly implemented and adhered to.
- Conducting regular contract reviews and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and legal advisors, to ensure smooth contract processes.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry trends that may impact contracts.
- Providing training and guidance to team members on contract processes and best practices.
- Resolving any contract-related disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state contracts.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Contract Management or a related field will be highly regarded.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex contractual terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and devise effective solutions.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of the construction industry and its regulatory environment.
