Job Details

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team located in South Florida.

The Junior Accountant will support the accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, fielding communications with clients and vendors, and preparing invoices and reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in data entry, and sending out and filing of invoices on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and help resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Review billing and customer collections, and ensure Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable are up to date.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management.
  • Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
  • Assist with analysis of quarterly and year-end financial data to provide insight on company health.
  • Preparing journal entries and performing month-end close tasks.
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Perform other office tasks as they occur.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, including experience with financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and tax compliance.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and able to work autonomously without supervision.
  • Sharp learning curve.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP preferred, but not required.
  • Multi-lingual preferred (Chinese), but not required.
  • Carries oneself in a courteous and professional demeanor
