Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

We are looking to hire an Accounting Manager! This hire will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing and managing the general ledger and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks and activities.
2. Acting as the subject matter expert in technical accounting matters, providing guidance and support to the finance team.
3. Utilizing QuickBooks to record transactions, compile financial information, and prepare reports.
4. Ensuring the company's compliance with SOX regulations, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal control structures.
5. Managing securities and investment portfolios, including tracking and recording transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, making recommendations based on these reports.
7. Supervising and mentoring accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
8. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Participating in corporate strategy development and implementation from a financial perspective.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial role.
3. Proficient in technical accounting and general ledger management.
4. Extensive experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
5. Understanding of SOX compliance requirements and practices.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
