Job Details

Design and implement robust maintenance programs to ensure the smooth and dependable operation of processing equipment.

Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, offering guidance, training, and support to foster high performance and productivity.

Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment.

Supervise troubleshooting and repair efforts to resolve equipment issues swiftly and minimize production interruptions.

Work closely with other departments, such as production and engineering, to enhance plant processes and tackle maintenance-related challenges.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and establish procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Develop and oversee the maintenance budget, balancing cost control with maintaining high standards of equipment reliability.

Assess and adopt new technologies and methods to boost maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.

Provide upper management with regular updates on maintenance performance, equipment conditions, and upcoming maintenance plans.

Oversee capital projects and manage associated budgets.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Extensive experience in maintenance management, ideally within a lime and minerals processing facility or a comparable heavy industrial setting.

Strong technical expertise in processing equipment, including crushers, kilns, conveyors, and related systems.

Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse team of maintenance professionals.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

In-depth knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Willingness to work off-hours or weekends when necessary for maintenance emergencies or scheduled shutdowns.
