Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team at Autonomy Staffing. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of construction materials and supplies within the warehouse. You will play a key role in supporting the supply chain by ensuring materials are properly organized, handled, and delivered to various locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Organize and store materials in designated areas to ensure efficient retrieval and shipping.
Track and manage inventory levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
Prepare materials and supplies for delivery or distribution to job sites, ensuring orders are accurate and properly labeled.
Assist with the receiving of inbound shipments, verifying the accuracy of deliveries, and inspecting for damages.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by adhering to housekeeping and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Comply with all company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in a warehouse or construction supply environment preferred but not required. Willing to train motivated candidates. Skills:
Proficient in the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team. Physical ability to lift, move, and carry heavy materials (up to [insert weight]) regularly.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift. Capable of working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
