Position Summary

The full-time Senior Corporate Accountant will be primarily responsible for managing the monthly accounting reporting cycle for several of CentreCourt's corporate entities. They will also be responsible for managing the year-end process, including preparing year-end adjustments, liaising with external accounting firms for the completion of annual financial statements and tax filings, and preparing certain tax filings internally. Additional responsibilities will be required on a periodic basis including supporting senior executives with information requests or financial analysis. The ideal candidate must be well organized, proactive, hard-working and should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures including multi-faceted intercompany reconciliations;
  • Prepare accurate documentation for payments and transfers between accounts;
  • Support senior executives with requested financial analysis or retrieval of information;
  • Oversee the year-end process, including preparing year-end adjustments, liaising with external accounting firms for the completion of annual financial statements and tax filings, and preparing certain tax filings internally;
  • Identify weaknesses in financial reporting controls and implement procedures to address the weaknesses and improve efficiency; and
  • Perform other ad-hoc analyses and reporting duties as required.


Candidate Qualifications

  • CPA designated
  • Post-secondary education with a specialty in Accounting
  • At least three years of experience in accounting or tax; accounting and tax experience in a corporate environment is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and planning skills and an ability to prioritize to meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter attitude with an ability to think ahead
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to work outside of core hours when business needs dictate
  • Highest degree of integrity, honesty and commitment to professionalism
