What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is

What You'll Do

Denver International Airport is looking for a Senior IT Developer to join our Business Technologies team. This Sr IT Developer will manage and support multiple platforms, develop and deploy integrations, as well as work on other development initiatives and enterprise solutions where needed.

Job responsibilities include:

Lead the technical consultative process between users and other information technology staff to identify user problems, configure system processes, enhance, and develop current system functions.Leads the analysis of user requirements, writes specifications and codes and documents current AS-IS and TO-BE processesCreate, documents, and implement system design plansPerform Unit and functional testing for processes developed in our platforms which will include writing and initiating test casesCoordinate User Acceptance TestingDesign, develop, test, debug, implement, and document both new and existing system processes to automate end user processesMentor and coach development staffDevelop roadmaps and help implement new solutions in our platformsBuild and maintain relationships with vendors and both internal and external stakeholdersOther duties as assignedOur top candidates will have an excellent professional attitude with strong interpersonal communications and presentation skills. This is a customer facing position and requires that the resource approach all work tasks and business relationships with the internal project team, external vendors, and other support resources in a highly professional manner.

In addition, we are looking for someone with the following skills/experience:

Adept at leading review of program specifications, helping design programs, configuring systems (Agile/Scrum-flexible), and writing, modifying, managing code.Familiarity with applying and driving the methods (STLC), and tools needed to analyze and develop software test and evaluation procedures.Systems Analysis skills to define requirements, user stories, and develop associated documentation.Skill in mapping business processes and turning them into automated functions.Innate ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.Engaging and interacting with stakeholders to understand the technical needs of a complex organization.Provide design, development, and support of REST APIs/integrations.Negotiating with vendors in respect to performance and execution of systems.Experience working, helping others, and driving results in an Agile environment.Strong understanding of modern software design architectures and processes.Good understanding of modern cloud delivery mechanisms (SaaS/PaaS).Experience with or certification in ITIL processes as they relate to support activities for existing solutions.What You'll Bring

2-5 years of experience deploying configuration and/or development changes in Maximo productionRelevant, demonstrated experience managing and supporting multiple COTS and SaaS Enterprise ApplicationsHands-on experience with Integration as a Service (IaaS) TechnologiesKnowledge of scripting technologies (JavaScript/JQuery/JSON/SQL/PowerShell)ITIL Foundations (or higher) certificationRequired Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.Experience: Three (3) years of professional level experience developing, modifying, and implementing operating systems, business applications, enterprise architecture design, and maintaining databases and servers.Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.Licensure & Certification: Requires a valid driver's license at the time of application.
